People often ask us: How did you meet? What got the two of you together? The answer is simple: God. We met in February 1997 while practicing for a graduate step show. In case you don't know, both of us belong to African-American greek letter organizations: Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity (Kevin) and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority (Myra). These two organizations are the only international organizations of their type that are constitutionally linked as brother and sister organizations. Depending on the day and who you ask, Kevin might say that "Myra was sweating him" or Myra might say that "Kevin couldn't take his eyes off of her." The truth of the matter is that it all started with ice cream runs. Step practice started to become a bit mundane and the only thing that was making it interesting was that the two of them would get together after practice and enjoy ice cream from Baskin Robbins. Cherries Jubilee was and is her favorite. Kevin, well he just liked ice cream (and Myra). The ice cream run though was not the first official "date". (You have to take the Myra and Kevin quiz to find that one out). But with us, it all started with God bringing us together at a step show. A mutual attraction and an appreciation for Baskin Robbins ice cream. We both credit God, because we were both searching for a blessing and He gave it to us in each other.
