| By Marpessa D. Wiley Although neither one of us can specifically remember exactly what date we met, I know that it was the very most important day of my life. I had no experience at being a sister and very little at being a friend. It was so easy with us, so natural, so real. We have shared some of the best times together and some of the worst. There are no words to describe what having you as my sister means to me. I cannot imagine life without you. Our conversations are the highlight of my day. Whether they are short or long. Whether we agree or disagree. The only thing that matters is that you are a part of my life. I am so honored that you allow me to be your sister. I am so proud of the person that you are. You are a strong minded, beautiful, spiritual person. Nothing in our lives has been guaranteed. We have buried some of the closest people to us. But I know that we will always be sisters. It is the very thing that I count on 100%. It is the one thing that I know to be absolutely true. One subject that has been a major part of our lives is finding a mate. I am glad to say that my dreams finally came true. I have found the man who fulfills my needs. I had great doubts that he would ever appear. But God is good and my prayers have been answered. I have known since your trip to Atlanta almost 3 years ago that Mr. Miller was your soul mate. I am so happy that the two of you have decided to join in matrimony. Our family is getting bigger and better with the addition of our wonderful men. I look forward to our relationship growing with our new lives. Nothing will change our friendship and my love for you. For whatever reason we met, whenever it was, it was the day that I met my sister, and my friend. I will love you today, tomorrow and always. I thank you for being my sister and my friend. I Love You. |
